Adam T. Jansen, Chairman Emeritus
Born and raised in and around Grand Rapids Michigan. Adam has always been a natural leader, analytical thinker, and hard worker. After achieving a successful career in business aviation, he joined the Akos team in a leadership position and has since transitioned to an advisory role to keep him close to home.
He loves gambling (edit) daytrading… scuba diving, hiking, triathlon, and being with friends and family.

From coastal Maine, Sophie is a multisport athlete passionate about social responsibility, global sustainability, rock climbing, backcountry riding, marathons, trail runs, and scuba diving… Sophie does it all. She loves to learn and write in her down time. She dreams of helping forge a more fair and just world for those suffering systemic injustices.

After years of competing in obstacle course races as a vegan athlete Jonny immersed himself in rock climbing has found a love of photography and videography. He dreams of using his engineering prowess to eventually live totally off grid.

From humble beginnings in Honolulu, Lucie’s life has been steeped in adventure. She’s an avid Yogi, rock climber, backpacker, white water kayaker, and casual trail runner. She also leads certification courses for new yoga instructors.

Joseph “Crazy Joe” Trouba, Product Development Specialist
Process engineer and PhD candidate (metallurgy) from 9-5… Outside of business hours, you’ll find Joe upsidedown on a super sketchy lead, running ultras on a trail nobody else uses, complaining about mules (his only weakness), reading comparative philosophical viewpoints, and a whole bunch of other things.

Natalya Farsun, Marketing Guru
From Rural Connecticut, Natalya quickly advanced through the ranks at a national marketing firm, where she runs a high performance team. Her ability to quickly appraise a situation and realistically map a solution keeps her at the top of her game at work.
At play, Natalya teaches 5am spin classes, runs ultra marathons, bakes tasty treats, and climbs fun routes that “aren't too scary.”

James “Pat” Sheridan, Accounts Manager
Pat has a diverse athletic background. He has ridden a bicycle across the USA doing 4k for cancer, he’s a multiple finish ironman triathlete, 100+ mile ultra runner, an avid rock climber, accomplished socialite, and he’s an internationally ranked Subbuteo (Suh-boo-tee-oh) player. He regularly competes in tournaments around the globe. All of this while he somehow never has to actually work a normal job. Pat lives the dream.

Michael Kostin, Managing Partner
From Upstate New York, Kostin got into sailplanes (Gliders) at the age of 14 and quickly fell in love with aviation. He got into brewing while in flight school in college and has helped develop Akos White from day 1.
Mike recently completed his first trail ultra and is training to Boston qualify this year. More than anything, he loves cultural immersion during travel; and all the food related illnesses that brings.

Originally from Lihue, HI; John has been passionate about outdoor adventure since childhood. He began flying hang gliders when he was 14 and quickly moved into all of the adventure sport categories he could find.
Hobbies: Scuba diving, sailing, powered aircraft, skydiving, rock climbing, ultra running, triathlon, backcountry skiing, and plotting thousands of less viable business ideas.
